When ANA introduced The Room on its 777-300ERs, reviewers ran out of category language: a seat nearly twice the width of competing business products, a proper door, and a cabin finished like a Tokyo hotel lobby. It flies the flagship US trunks — New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston into Haneda — alongside ANA’s (still excellent) staggered cabin on other aircraft.
The buying logic: US–Japan is a joint-venture corridor with deep contract volume, and ANA fares priced 30–40% inside published are routine. The Room commands no fare premium over ANA’s standard business — same buckets, same contracts — so the play is simply routing you onto the right aircraft, which is exactly the sort of detail a specialist watches.

Does The Room cost more than ANA’s regular business class?

How does ANA compare with JAL for negotiated business fares?
