Two timing notes. Doha’s pleasant season is November through March, and the winter event calendar — sport, conferences, the Formula 1 weekend — creates short sharp peaks inside it. And summer, brutal outdoors, is the fare trough: for travellers connecting onward or content with indoor Doha, June-to-August quotes run remarkably soft.
