The premium traffic is Cusco-bound — Machu Picchu remains one of the world’s great demand magnets — and the Cusco leg is a ninety-minute domestic hop that LATAM carries on through-fares at small increments. Keeping it on the international ticket matters more here than usual: Cusco’s altitude-constrained schedule concentrates flights into the morning, and a protected connection is the difference between a plan and a gamble.

The calendar follows the trail: dry season — May through September — is trekking peak, with June-August the hard core that books out months ahead alongside the Inca Trail permits. The green season prices softly and suits coastal-and-culinary itineraries built around Lima’s own formidable restaurant scene. Negotiated quotes track those seasons faithfully, with the shoulders — April-May, September-October — the arithmetic sweet spot.
