Prague draws premium traffic the way few cities its size do — tourism at genuine scale, a growing technology and shared-services economy, and a position that makes it the natural first stop in Central Europe. Delta and United fly seasonal nonstops from New York and Newark; the year-round premium map runs over Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Amsterdam and London, each within a ninety-minute hop.
The pricing sits meaningfully below the western European capitals, and for a structural reason: Central European destinations are priced to pull traffic onto the hub carriers rather than to defend a local corporate base. A through-fare over Frankfurt to Prague routinely quotes at or under the Frankfurt fare alone — the fare ladder rewards the longer journey, and Prague is the beneficiary.
Seasonality is leisure-shaped and sharp. Spring and early autumn are the demand peaks, high summer is busy and hot, and the Christmas market weeks compress premium space unexpectedly hard for a city this far east. January through March is the trough — cold, uncrowded, and the cheapest flat bed into Europe we regularly quote.

Prague: common questions
Why is Prague cheaper than Vienna or Munich in business class?
Because it is priced as a spoke rather than a hub with a corporate base to defend. The through-fare ladders reward distance, so a construction over Frankfurt, Paris or Amsterdam often costs the same as — or less than — stopping at the hub itself.
Are the seasonal nonstops worth waiting for?
Only if the dates align. They run roughly May through September and price at a premium for the convenience. The rest of the year the hub constructions are the market, and they are frequently cheaper even when the nonstop exists.
Can I combine Prague with Vienna or Budapest?
Easily — the three cities are a few rail hours apart and open-jaw itineraries price cleanly on negotiated fares. Into Prague, out of Budapest is a common shape; we build the air legs so the ground journey runs in the direction you actually want to travel.
