The scheduled duration from pushback to arrival gate — the number published in schedules and used throughout this site. Airlines pad block times for punctuality statistics, so actual air time often runs shorter. When comparing routings, compare door-to-door reality: a shorter block with a brutal connection loses to a longer one with a 75-minute hub transfer.
