Mistake fare

A fare filed in error — a dropped digit, a currency slip — briefly bookable before the airline catches it. They make headlines; they are not a strategy. Airlines may cancel mistake-fare tickets, regulators differ on whether they must honour them, and planning a trip around one is gambling with your dates. We mention them for honesty: our savings come from contracts that are meant to exist, which is why they can be relied on and repeated.
