Ticketing deadline

The date by which a held reservation must be paid and issued before the airline cancels it automatically. Deadlines come from the fare rules and can range from same-day to several days out. They are the mechanism behind a genuine hold: space reserved, price locked, decision pending. A quote that states its ticketing deadline is telling you how long the number is real — treat any quote without one as an estimate, not an offer.
