Air France’s newest business seat — 1-2-1 with a sliding door, on the retrofitted 777-300ERs and arriving fleet-wide — belongs in the conversation with the best on the Atlantic, and the catering has always been the cabin’s quiet weapon: proper French cooking, champagne chosen like it matters, and the elegance the brand never lost.
The buying logic runs through two structures. First, the joint venture with Delta, KLM and Virgin Atlantic, which prices the Atlantic as one network — an Air France contract fare quotes across all four carriers’ schedules. Second, the Charles de Gaulle hub bank: one negotiated through-fare from a US gateway carries onward to most of Europe, Africa and the Indian Ocean, often for barely more than Paris alone.
The honesty note: three cabin generations still fly. The new suite, the previous (very good) 1-2-1, and older cabins on a shrinking set of aircraft. We name the generation on your specific flights, because "Air France business" spans a wider range than the brand photography suggests.

How do I make sure I get the new Air France suite?
The retrofit rollout is aircraft-specific and moves monthly, so we check equipment on your exact flights at quoting time and flag the cabin generation in writing. Where the schedule offers both generations on your dates, we route you onto the newer one at the same fare.
Is connecting in Paris a problem?
CDG’s reputation lags its present: Terminal 2E transfers within the same terminal complex run smoothly with 90 minutes, and the airside hotel and lounges make longer connections civilised. We avoid the terminal-change connections that built the old reputation.
Do negotiated Air France fares cover destinations beyond Paris?
That is their best trick — the through-fare construction over CDG prices Nice, Rome, Athens, Cairo or Johannesburg on one ticket, frequently within a few hundred dollars of Paris itself. If your final city is not Paris, say so; the construction usually improves.
