Delta Air Lines · Delta One Suites

One of the first doored business suites, at negotiated fares

Reviewed September 2026

Delta introduced the closed-door business suite before anyone else, and Delta One remains the benchmark US-flag product: sliding door, flat bed and direct aisle access on the A350s and A330neos, with dedicated Delta One lounges now open at JFK, Boston, Los Angeles and Seattle. Older 767 cabins still rotate on some Atlantic routes, which is exactly the kind of detail we verify per flight.

Commercially, Delta prices its premium cabins with famous discipline in public channels — and moves volume through the joint venture instead. The Delta-Air France-KLM-Virgin Atlantic partnership co-prices the Atlantic as one carrier, so a negotiated contract quotes across all four airlines’ aircraft on the same itinerary. Add the LATAM and Korean Air ventures and one fare ladder covers three oceans.

The practical buying note: Delta One contract space runs deepest on the joint-venture corridors (Atlantic above all) and from the co-located hubs — New York, Boston, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Seattle and Los Angeles. Interior cities construct over them on one ticket, domestic first on the feed where available.

Delta Air Lines Delta One Suites: common questions

Does Delta discount Delta One through private channels?

Less flamboyantly than the foreign flags, but the joint ventures do — a negotiated Atlantic fare typically prices across Delta, Air France, KLM and Virgin metal on the same contract, and the sharpest number is often on a partner’s aircraft with Delta ticketing. We quote the corridor, not just the carrier.

Which aircraft should I want on a Delta One booking?

The A350 and A330neo carry the current suite with the door. The remaining 767 cabins are flat beds without doors and noticeably narrower. Same fare, different product — so we route you onto the newer metal where the schedule allows and tell you plainly where it does not.

Is Delta One worth it domestically?

On the premium transcontinental routes (JFK-LAX/SFO), yes — flagship aircraft fly them and the cabin matches the international product. Elsewhere domestic first is a recliner, priced accordingly. We build the long-haul so the domestic feed rides the same ticket either way.
