Business class flights to Venice

Venice is the clearest seasonal market in Europe. Delta, United and American run nonstops from New York, Newark and Atlanta through the warm months, ITA and the European carriers fill the rest, and almost all of it disappears by late autumn. There is no corporate demand underneath to hold the market up — Venice sells tourism, and its fare curve says so without apology.

The consequence is a genuine two-tier year. From May through September, published and negotiated fares both harden, and the peak weeks around Easter, the Biennale openings and the summer sell through early. From November through March, the same city is quiet, beautiful and cheap to reach: through-fares over Rome, Milan, Paris or Frankfurt price at the bottom of the European band, and the connection adds barely two hours.

For itineraries that combine Venice with the rest of Italy, the open-jaw is the natural construction — into Venice, out of Rome, with the high-speed rail joining them in under four hours. It prices as roughly one round trip on the negotiated ladders, and it matches the way the trip actually flows better than any forced round-trip into a single city.
