Change fee

The charge for altering a ticket after issue, on top of any fare difference. Premium-cabin change fees have softened industry-wide since 2020 — many business fares now change for fare difference only — but negotiated contracts vary by airline and bucket. The practical rule: know the fee before you book, and treat a low change fee as real optionality on volatile plans.
