Direct aisle access

A cabin layout — typically 1-2-1 — in which every passenger reaches the aisle without stepping over a neighbour. It became the de facto standard of modern long-haul business class; older 2-2-2 and 2-3-2 layouts lack it. For couples the paired middle seats of a 1-2-1 remain sociable; for solo travellers, direct access plus a window seat is the default request we book.
