The frequent-flyer credit a ticket earns. Most major programs (American, Delta, United, British Airways, Air France-KLM) now credit their own tickets by the fare paid and the fare type rather than by distance, so a negotiated fare can earn less than a published one in the same cabin; partner-airline tickets often still credit by distance and fare class. What a fare earns is stated on our quotes, so status planners can count before committing.
