Positioning flight

A separate short flight taken to reach the airport where the good fare begins — flying Denver–Chicago to start a Chicago–Frankfurt contract fare, for instance. Positioning can unlock four-figure savings, but on a separate ticket it carries misconnection risk the long-haul carrier will not cover. Where possible we construct the feed into the same ticket instead; where not, we build honest buffers.
