The intermediate cabin: wider recliner seating, better catering, no bed. It is a legitimate product on daytime flights and a false economy on long overnights, where the absence of a flat bed is the whole difference. Priced against negotiated business — which often lands near published premium economy — the comparison usually resolves in favour of the bed. We quote both when the question is genuinely open.
