Reissue

The processing of a ticket change: the old ticket is exchanged for a new one, collecting any fare difference and change fee, and a new ticket number is born. Reissues are where flexible plans meet fare rules — and where a competent agency earns its keep, because reissue pricing has options (historical fare, current fare, waivers) that an airline call centre under time pressure will not always explore. Keep every ticket number; refunds and disputes trace through them.
