Staggered seating

The business-class layout in which rows interlock — each seat’s bed extends into the console space of the seat ahead — producing alternating "true window" and aisle-adjacent positions. Staggered cabins (Lufthansa’s newer aircraft, Emirates 777s, many A350 operators) vary more seat-to-seat than herringbones: the throne and bulkhead positions are excellent, some others notably tighter. Layout knowledge turns into comfort here, which is why we assign specific seats rather than cabins.
