The visa some countries require merely to connect through their airports — and the detail that turns a bargain routing into a refused boarding. The rules matrix is genuinely complex: nationality, airport, whether you clear immigration, even connection length all matter, and the US and Canada require full entry processing for any transit at all. Itinerary construction includes this check as a matter of course; a fare is not cheap if your passport cannot legally fly it.
