Waitlist

A request queued for inventory that is currently closed — you hold a confirmed itinerary while waiting for a preferred flight, cabin or bucket to open. Waitlists clear by priority (status, fare paid, channel) and by the airline’s own forecast, which makes them useful but never bankable. Our practice: confirm the acceptable itinerary first, waitlist the ideal one, and let the clearance be a pleasant upgrade to the plan rather than the plan itself.
