Business class flights to London

More flat beds cross the Atlantic to London than to any other city: British Airways, American, Delta, Virgin Atlantic, United and JetBlue put well over thirty daily departures into Heathrow and Gatwick from the US alone. Airlines cannot fill that many business cabins at published prices — so they move blocks through consolidator contracts and keep the discount out of the search engines.

That is the entire London opportunity. A published round trip from the East Coast sits in the $5,000–7,000 band for most of the year; negotiated fares on the same metal run 30–40% inside it. From the West Coast and Texas the gap is often wider still, because the joint ventures defend their published fare structure most aggressively exactly where corporate contracts already fill the front of the plane.

Two practical notes. First, Heathrow is not automatically the right answer — Gatwick and City serve different halves of the metropolis, and a City arrival can beat an hour on the Piccadilly line for a Canary Wharf meeting. Second, London prices beautifully as part of a longer itinerary: through-fares to Europe over London frequently cost less than the London stop alone.
