No country receives more discounted business class from the United States than the UK. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, American, Delta, United, JetBlue and Aer Lingus together put dozens of daily wide-bodies across the Atlantic, and no amount of corporate demand fills that many front cabins at published prices. The overflow moves through consolidator contracts — quietly, and well below the numbers the search engines show.
London absorbs most of that capacity across three airports, but it is not automatically the right answer. Manchester serves the north with its own transatlantic schedule and frequently lower absolute fares; Edinburgh adds a seasonal set for Scotland. For a traveller whose business is in Leeds, Liverpool or Glasgow, routing through Heathrow costs hours and money that the regional door does not.
The structural advice for the UK is the same everywhere in it. Book through to your real endpoint rather than to London by habit; stay flexible by a day where the trip allows it; and price the open-jaw, because entering at one door and leaving from another costs roughly the average of two round trips rather than a penalty. The rail network makes almost any combination workable.

Gatwick services frequently price under the Heathrow trunk and suit south London and the coast; City has no US nonstop but pairs well with a European connection for Canary Wharf. Heathrow wins on frequency and recovery. We quote whichever the meeting location makes workable.
How late can I book a negotiated UK fare?
Later than most markets. Public buckets surge inside two weeks, but contract allocations are priced on volume rather than date, so even short-notice requests on the London trunks routinely beat the airline’s own site by a wide margin.
