Washington to London carries a particular kind of traveller: government, defence, consulting, finance, people whose calendars book late and change often. United flies it from its Dulles hub, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic hold the other side, and the joint ventures wrap the whole corridor in contract structures built for exactly this demand.
