ARC / IATA accreditation

The licensing that lets an agency issue airline tickets at all — ARC in the United States, IATA elsewhere — with financial vetting, bonding and settlement through the airlines’ own clearing systems. It is the difference between an agency and a website with a phone number: an accredited seller issues real e-tickets under its own authority and answers to the carriers for them. Before wiring anyone five figures for travel, confirming accreditation is the sixty-second check that matters most.
