The European passenger-rights regime: fixed cash compensation (up to €600, £520 in the UK version) for long delays and cancellations on flights departing the EU/UK or arriving on their carriers, plus duty-of-care obligations regardless of fault category. It applies to premium tickets identically — the compensation is flat-rate, the refund calculations cabin-based. Claims run direct to the airline and firms exist to chase them for a cut.
