Refundable fare

A fare whose rules permit cancelling for money back — sometimes free, sometimes minus a cancellation fee. The premium-cabin nuance: refundability is a spectrum, not a toggle. Fully flexible fares cost dramatically more; many discounted business fares refund with a fee or convert to open credit. The question worth asking is not "is it refundable" but "what exactly happens if I cancel" — and that answer should be printed on the quote before you pay, as it is on ours.
