Ticket validity

How long a ticket remains usable — one year from issue for most international fares, both for travel and, if plans collapse, for reissue toward future travel. Validity is the quiet backstop under flexible planning: a cancelled trip usually leaves value that survives as credit against the same carrier, minus applicable fees, until the validity clock runs out. Track the dates; airlines rarely send reminders that your money is about to expire.
